Greetings from the Their Royal Majesties
TRMs Maynard and Liadain

Greetings unto all from Maynard and Liadain,
King and Queen of Sylvan Æthelmearc!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Our Coronation a tremendous success.  Though there are far too many to name, We would particularly like to thank the following:  the people of the Rhydderich Hael and Beau Fleuve for hosting the event, the tireless and adaptable autocrats, THL Jenna MacPherson and Mistress Cori Ghora; Mistress Ts’vee’a, Mistress Amaryllis and Mistress Aleea for their many hours designing and creating Our beautiful garb, Our personal staff, notably Duchess Anna and Baroness Margerite for everything they have already done and have yet to do.  In addition, We are very appreciative of the support and kindness of the people of Æthelmearc.  Please also join Us in thanking Their Graces, Christopher and Morgen for their exemplary service to the Realm.

With the melee and camping season upon us, please take the time to check your arrows, tents, armor, weapons and so forth, to make sure all is in working order.  War Practice will here at the end of the month and in addition to the many activities traditionally held, the event will also host tournaments to choose Our Kingdom Champions for Queen’s Rapier, Kings Archery, Thrown Weapons and Bardic.  We will also be holding Our first Curia the Sunday morning of War Practice at 9:30am.  Please refer to the event announcement or Our website for additional information.

In June, We will be travelling to the MidRealm for Northern Oaken War Maneuvers.  We would request all those able and willing to join Us and make a grand showing of the mighty Æthelmearc army.  It is an excellent melee event and We encourage you to make the trip.

We are so honored and excited to have this opportunity to serve Æthelmearc as King and Queen.  We look forward to a Spring filled with joyful experiences, new friends and much revelry for all.

Our Whims:

Though prowess, artistry and skill are cherished and admired, courtesy and chivalry are ideals which We hold above all others.

Wine should not be dry, beer should not be stout, and good rum should be plentiful!

We ask that everyone attempt something new to enliven our society; try a new technique, plan a different kind of tournament, play games or learn a new dance.

The Escarbuncle is a symbol of splendor and strength, wear it often and proudly - particularly at Pennsic War.  Let AEthelmearc stand together in spirit and in display.

Please conceal items from the modern world as best as possible.

If we’ve never met, please seek us out.  We welcome new friends.

Find joy in all that you do. Remember, we are here to have fun!

For Æthelmearc,

Maynard and Liadain
